Cannot find resource file..

Update: under 10.3.3 all examples runs perfectly. Only dont under Delphi 7 - and that ist the Version we must have

Anybody an Idea? Thanks..

- I installed the CEF4Delphi under Delphi 7 on a windows10-VM without errors - all components are displayed.
- then I copied all files of the directories Release and Resource into the bin-directory (64-bit-version).
- the I start delphi 7
- then I opened the "SimpleBrwowser 2" - demo (SimpleBrowser2_D7.dpr) and then the following error is shown:

Cannot find resource file:... SimpleBrowser2_D7.res. Recreated. - OK - and then Error reading AddressPnlPadding.Left Property...

The image "final layout looks like this" is exactly the same as my bin-directory.

What is the problem / can I do?

Hi,

I only have a Delphi 11 Pro license and I can't test the Delphi 7 demos but don't worry about the missing RES files. Those files are created again by Delphi.

Delphi has added many new features over the years and the FRM files have some references to properties that only exist in newer versions.

Open the SimpleBrowser2 demo, show the form in the IDE and save the changes. That will fix the project automatically with the features available in that Delphi version.

There are only 2 demos adapted to Delphi 7. You will have to use a newer Delphi version or Lazarus for the rest.
